Choose the workspace before the panel
Both candidates are 27-inch 2560×1440 displays, which gives a comparable amount of desktop space. A QHD panel still needs a compatible output from the computer, dock, or adapter. Confirm the maximum resolution and refresh combination for the exact computer and connection you plan to use.
Refresh rate matters for moving interfaces and cursor motion; color gamut and calibration modes matter for work where an sRGB or Rec.709 target is part of the brief. Neither number answers whether the panel looks right in your room, so plan to use the return period for viewing comfort and actual application layout.

Its connection panel includes DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI, USB-C upstream data, USB-A ports, a USB-C downstream port with 15W charging, and audio line-out.
The U2724D's USB-C upstream connection is data-only; it is not a one-cable laptop charging monitor. The stand supports height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustment. Choose it when those connections and movements simplify the desk, but budget for a separate laptop power path.

The BenQ is about a defined color target
BenQ lists the PD2705Q as a 27-inch IPS display at 2560×1440 and 60Hz, with 100% sRGB and Rec.709 coverage, 250 nits typical brightness, HDR10 support, and a matte coating. It includes picture modes such as sRGB, Rec.709, CAD/CAM, and M-Book. Those modes can make a known workflow easier to configure; they do not prove independent color accuracy in your room.
The monitor includes USB-C connectivity and a USB hub, but confirm the exact upstream and downstream roles and the computer's USB-C video support before expecting a single cable to do everything. Its stand is tilt-only in the published specifications, so a monitor arm may be needed for height or portrait positioning.
